چکیده
Optimal patient outcomes depend on numerous factors, including the surgeon’s demonstrated operative skill, quality outcomes, and multidisciplinary support. The presence of comorbid conditions, such as diabetes, has been shown to increase risk for complications. Careful selection of candidates for gastric bypass surgery may not only improve the effi cacy of these procedures, but also prevent the signifi cant potential risks and complications.
